Are you scheduling your pet for surgery and want to make rehabilitation a part of their therapy plan? Is your pet not recovering as quickly as expected from injury?

PET REHABILITATION IN WINNIPEG: RESTORING WAGS AND PURRS, ONE PATIENT AT A TIME

More cuddles, more walks, more quality time with your furry companion.  Head to Tail Pet Rehabilitation in Winnipeg provides post-operative care, as well as therapies for cats and dogs with injury, obesity, arthritis, neurologic, orthopedic and age-related conditions.

We have our own Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner (CCRP). This means your dog or cat will be in highly qualified hands throughout the duration of their professional rehabilitation therapy.

Unlike rehabilitation in humans, cats and dogs cannot communicate pain — and often try to hide pain instinctively. A CCRP is trained to look for these subtle cues, and then use that information in delivering the physical rehabilitation therapies we offer.

WHEN TO BRING YOUR PET IN FOR REHABILITATION

As mammals, dogs and cats share similar physiological traits to their human counterparts. So, it only makes sense they receive similar care following a surgery, illness, or injury. Head to Tail Pet Rehabilitation treats dogs and cats in need of physical rehabilitation as part of surgical recovery, or to manage certain acute and chronic conditions.

The techniques and equipment we use are similar to what you would expect in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre for humans. We have a Class IV laser to speed up healing and reduce inflammation, as well as an aquatic treadmill to steadily strengthen the muscles and increase mobility.

We only accept referrals from your veterinarian, but can also assess pets and recommend a course of professional rehabilitation therapy.
